Greenhouse Rejection Troubleshooting

Below are instructions to investigate and resolve Greenhouse rejection actions within Endorsed.

Written by David Head

If Endorsed is unable to advance or reject an applicant in Greenhouse, you may see an error similar to:

Your email account in your ATS is missing permissions to advance or reject applicants. Double-check permissions in your ATS, then try again.

This is typically caused by the sender settings or email permissions associated with the rejection email template in Greenhouse.

Option 1: Use the Greenhouse no-reply address

In Greenhouse, edit the affected rejection email template and change the From setting from My Email Address to the Greenhouse no-reply address, such as [email protected].

Save the template, then retry the rejection in Endorsed.

Option 2: Update your Greenhouse email permissions

If the template needs to remain set to My Email Address:

  1. Log in to Greenhouse.

  2. Go to Account Settings → Email Permissions.

  3. Enable Allow anyone with Job or Site Admin permissions to send emails from my address.

  4. Confirm that your Greenhouse email address is active and verified.

  5. Save the changes and retry the rejection in Endorsed.

For more information, see Greenhouse's Allow other users to send emails on my behalf article.
