Sync with Oracle Recruiting Cloud

Prerequisities

Before getting started, please carefully read the following to make sure you fulfill all requirements for the integration to work:

To set up this integration, you must have the necessary permissions (IT Security Manager) to access the "Security Console."

To find out how to access the "Security Console," please follow the first steps below.

If you don't have access, please contact whoever has the necessary permissions in your company before continuing.

High Level Data, Fields, & Operations

Endorsed's integration with Oracle Recruiting Cloud requests and access the following data:

  • Users: first name, last name, email, employment status

  • Jobs: name, job code, description, weekly hours, employment type, status, visibility, category, department, post url, experience level, salary amount from, salary amount to, salary currency, salary period, location, opened at, closed at

  • Candidates: first name, last name, company, title, source, phone numbers, email addresses, location

  • Application Stages: name, global index

  • Applications: outcome, current stage id, job id, candidate id

  • Screening Questions: title, description, format

  • Rejection Reasons

  • Roles: label, scope, type

  • Read document attachments

  • Set application stage

  • Reject Applications

Find your Oracle Recruiting Cloud Address

  1. Log into your Oracle Recruiting Cloud instance

  2. Copy the value of the URL and paste it into the connection flow. We will cut the URL automatically for your convenience.

Create a new custom role for this integration

Your connection flow will be personalized. The roles/privileges shown in your flow might differ from the ones shown in this guide. Always use the roles/privileges from your connection flow and not from the images shown below.

  1. Click on the 3-bar menu in the top left of your Oracle Recruiting Cloud instance:

  2. Next, scroll down to "Tools" open the menu, then go to "Security Console":
    ​


    Note: If you don't see the "Security Console" setting, you don't have the right permissions to complete the connection.

  3. In the Security Console click on "Create Role"
    ​

  4. Follow your enterprises naming and code conventions for custom roles. You will not be able to change the code or delete the role after creation. For "Role Category" select "HCM - Job Roles"
    ​

  5. Click Add Function Security Policy and add the Privileges shown in your connection flow:

  6. Navigate to the Role Hierarchy step and add the Roles shown in your connection flow:
    ​

  7. Navigate to the Summary step and click Save and Close.
    ​

  8. Wait for the custom role to be created. You can monitor the progress in the Administration tab of the Security Console

Assign a security profile to the custom role

  1. In the right top menu, click on Setup and Maintenance:

  2. Click on the box on the right side and click on Search
    ​


    or use the global search if you are using redwood
    ​

  3. Search for Assign Security Profiles to Role in the search bar, press enter and select the entry as pictured:

  4. Search for the role you created earlier:

  5. Select the entry as it appears, and select Edit
    ​

  6. Click Yes when prompted
    ​

  7. Simply click Next to go to step 2:
    ​

  8. The Security Criteria shown will depend on the Roles added in the previous steps of this guide. Select the following default Criteria if shown:

    1. Organization Security Profile: select "View All Organizations"

    2. Person Security Profile: select "View All People"

    3. Position Security Profile: select "View All Job Positions"

    4. Country Requisition Security Profile: select "View All Job Countries"

    5. Payroll Security Profile: select "View All Job Payrolls"

    6. Person Security Profile: select "View All Job People"

    7. Job Requisition Security Profile: select "View All Job Requisitions"

  9. Hit next until you reach the Review step

  10. Finally hit Submit

  11. If you click on Search again a green check mark will appear:

Add the Data Security Policies for Candidate e-mail addresses and phone numbers and Job offers.

Your connection flow will be personalized. The data security policies shown in your flow might differ from the ones shown in this guide. Always use the data security policies from your connection flow and not from the images shown below. If your connection does not require any of these data points the step might be skipped all together.

  1. Go back to the Security Console

  2. Search for the custom role and click on Edit Role

  3. Navigate to the Data Security Policies tab

  4. Create new policies according to the connection flow
    ​

  5. Click on Summary then on Save and Close
    ​
    ​

Create a new integration user

  1. Click on the 3-bar menu in the top left of your Oracle Recruiting Cloud instance
    ​

  2. Next, scroll down to Tools open the menu, then go to Security Console:

    Note: If you don't see the "Security Console" setting, you don't have the right permissions to complete the connection.

  3. Next, go to Users then Add User Account
    ​


    ​

  4. Fill in the necessary information, saving the User Name and Password for later. If you have a custom User Category for service users without password expiration policy make sure to select it.

  5. Next, click on Add Role:

    Note: Save the Username and Password, as you'll need it later.

  6. Add the custom role you created earlier to the user.

  7. Press Save and Close.

  8. Enter the Username and Password in the connection flow or follow the instructions to setup JWT authentication:
