Here we'll cover how to use bulk rejection actions to save hours on your application review.

Identifying the right candidates via "Dealbreaker" criteria

Say you need to hire a senior software engineer, but many applicants were most recently in management roles. You want someone who was recently an individual contributor.

On the criteria page, you'll add a piece of criteria that states you only want to see individual contributors. Aim to make this as precise as possible.

Filter out candidates missing the criteria

Step 1: Apply criteria filter

To filter out unsuitable candidates, we start by filtering only those who did not meet our criteria for a recent individual contributor.

Step 2: Spot check accuracy

Then we can spot check to make sure the AI didn’t miss anyone. If you find that the AI missed people and is including individual contributors, you'll want to go back and iterate on your criteria prompt until none are appearing in the list.

(Recommended) Step 3: Filter by score

Sometimes, a candidate may meet enough other criteria to warrant a more thorough review. To filter down to candidates missing more criteria (and therefore having lower scores), adjust the 'Max' score on your Score Range filter.

For example, in the screenshot, the applicants shown are those who are not recent individual contributors and have scores below 64.

Step 4: Bulk filter

Finally, click the “Reject All Matching” button.

Confirm that only the candidates meeting the specified filters will be rejected, and click "Reject Applicants"

Now, your selected applicants are being rejected both in Endorsed and your ATS. Any email automations set up for rejected candidates are also triggered.

That's it! With an applicant pool in the hundreds or thousands, this process can save you hours or even days.
