Bulk Reject Emails with Ashby

Configuring automatic emails to use different email templates in Ashby based upon reject reasons or specific stage changes is currently not supported by Ashby. This article allows you to send bulk reject emails with the desired email template without selecting the email template for each applicant via reject reasons.

To send bulk emails, do the following:

  1. Ensure that you do not have any email automations enabled for your archived stage for the job you want to send different email templates for applicants.

    To do this do the following:

    1. Go to your Job in your Ashby ATS

    2. Click Interview Plan under Admin on the left side pane.

    3. Scroll down to Archived and open the Send Email activity

    4. Then click Modify -> Edit -> Automation. Check that the Automate on Stage Entry checkbox is disabled (unchecked)

  2. Use reject reasons on individual applicants or the Bulk Reject reason selector when rejecting applicants in Endorsed. Reject reasons will be propagated into Ashby when you reject them in Endorsed

  3. Filter and Email Applicants in Ashby


    Do the following:

    1. Open your candidate pipeline. Navigate from Candidates -> Candidate Pipeline

    2. Click to view the Archived candidates

    3. Choose the job(s) for which applicants you wish to send emails for

    4. Filter by Reject Reason

      1. Click Filter -> Archive Reason

      2. Select your specific Reject Reason

      3. Click the Email action button

      4. Review your email drafts and send!
